It does work just fine to a point. I have not been able to recover any of my sd2 [sound designer] files.

Need something more. This software can restore files which have been deleted in a recent past. That's why it cannot satisfy me. I wanted to get back my files which I deleted before 6 months or more. It didn't work for that. If you please think on it then more people will be benefitted. Thank you.

Recover Data Easy to use and seems to find a lot of the files lost after an inadvertent partition of a vfat drive. However I can do similar things with Testdisk and Photorec, which are GPL tools.

I had a SATA external disk damaged by an accidental power off and wanted to repair it. I downloaded DRW and attempted to use it. I did not understand that it would not actually save the files unless I had registered. This is not an unreasonable policy but it would be nice to tell people that when the program starts.
